Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to take measures to integrate drones into the country’s single airspace, should from the list published on the Kremlin website. It was approved by the head of state following the events on the development of unmanned aerial systems, which took place on April 27.

“In order to ensure the safe operation of unmanned aerial systems, take comprehensive measures to integrate unmanned aerial vehicles into the unified airspace of the Russian Federation,” follows from the text.

At the same time, it is necessary to consider the issue of digital transformation of air traffic services, including navigation, landing, surveillance, communications and countering the illegal use of unmanned aerial systems.

The report on the topic must be submitted before September 1 of the current year, then once every six months. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin was appointed responsible for the implementation of the order.

Last winter, Putin approved a list of instructions for the development of unmanned aerial systems in Russia. It followed from the document that the government was instructed to form a commission on the development of unmanned aerial systems by February 15, which would deal with tasks related to the development, production, certification and operation of unmanned aerial systems, the development of the necessary infrastructure, etc.
