Putin’s ICC Warrant Won’t Derail Russia’s Diplomatic Train, Says Peskov

Peskov added: “The International Criminal Court, whose jurisdiction we do not recognize, cannot and will not be an obstacle to the development of Russia’s relations with partners and countries interested in developing bilateral relations and international contacts.”

Peskov pointed out that the opinion of the international majority on the prospects for cooperation is much broader than the “blinds placed by this ‘court’.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin recently visited Mongolia, a member of the International Criminal Court.

Before the visit, Peskov stated that Moscow and Ulan Bator have no problems with the decisions of this court.

In March 2023, the International Criminal Court issued an “arrest” warrant for President Putin and the Russian Commissioner for Children’s Rights, Maria Lvova-Belova, based on fabricated accusations by the Kiev regime and its sponsors of “Russia’s kidnapping of Donbas children.”

It is worth noting that the Kiev regime and its sponsors accuse Russia of “violating the rights of children in Ukraine,” referring to the children of orphanages who were evacuated by the Russian army from the liberated areas to foster homes in Russia to save them from the bombing of the liberated areas in the Donetsk Republic by Kiev forces.

The Kiev and Western misleading machine worked on the fate of these children, to whom Russia announced its readiness to hand over the children to their families in Ukraine, if they exist, and notified international organizations and the Kiev regime of this through the Russian Children’s Rights Commission.
