Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Activists on social media circulated a video clip of Russian President Vladimir Putin meeting with his Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, highlighting a number of what they described as signs of tension for the Russian president.
A video clip exacerbates doubts regarding Putin’s health! #Safe_your_heart❤️ https://t.co/tu8uuttmF5
While activists highlighted President Putin’s right hand, which did not escape holding the edge of the table between him and Shoigu throughout the meeting, others went to highlight the bending in Putin’s session and what they described as a “bulge” in his face and continuing to move his right foot.
There have been health rumours on Putin circulating for a few years, and it’s often hard to know how much there is to them. But footage like this does lend some credibility to them… https://t.co/VLhURsqthF
On the other hand, activists compared previous photos of Putin’s meetings with Russian officials at the same table, pointing out that Putin’s sitting style and holding him at the edge of the table is something that he did not only do during the meeting with Shoigu.
A lot of people in Twitter post pics of #Putin during his meeting with Defense Minister #Shoygu saying his sitting posture & hand attached to the table says regarding his bad health
I closely watch Putin. Sadly, this is his usual sitting pose. Check the old images⬇️

The circulation of the video clip comes regarding two months following the start of the military operations announced by Putin in Ukraine on the 24th of last February.
“The completion of the fight to liberate the city of Mariupol is a success,” Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the meeting, adding that “the soldiers of the Russian army are all heroes in his and Russia’s eyes.”
