Putin surprises the world
In June 2022, Russia suddenly experienced two business-related incidents that surprised the world.
The natural gas undersea pipeline (hereafter P/L) transportation volume from Russia (Russia) to Germany via the Baltic Sea was suddenly reduced.
The reason is the Russian explanation that the gas turbine for “Nord Stream 1” (hereafter, NS 1) sent for repair by Russian Gazprom has not been returned.
Russian President V. Putin, 69, signed Presidential Decree No. 416 on June 30. The operating company “Sakhalin Energy” will be newly established in the future for the “Sakhalin-2 Project”, which explores, develops and produces crude oil and natural gas in the Sea of Okhotsk off the northeastern coast of Sakhalin Island. It is the content to be transferred free of charge to the Russian corporation.
This presidential decree put a yellow light on Sakhalin’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply contract for Japan.
In response to the above presidential decree, the Russian government issued Decree No. 1369 on August 2nd. It was announced that this new Russian corporation would be established in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (formerly Toyohara), the capital of Sakhalin Oblast.
However, it is currently unknown when exactly it will be established.
The essence of the two incidents in the East and West that surprised the eyes and ears of the world is the same.
No Nikkei mass media points out this point, and there are some very strange commentary articles.
There are also articles full of errors, such as the magazine “Selection” (August 2022 issue) “The truth about Sakhalin 2 plot”.
In this article, I would like to examine the “essential nature of the problem” by overviewing these two outrageous acts by Russia.
