This came in a video message of greetings that Putin sent to the participants in the “Army 2024” military forum, which kicked off in the suburbs of Moscow today, Monday.
Putin noted that this event is of interest to specialists from many countries around the world, and said: “We appreciate and support this interest, value our partnerships and are ready to develop them, work together to create equal and indivisible security, and build a new, more just and multipolar world. We believe that our position towards constructive cooperation is required and receives a sincere and lively response.”
The Russian President pointed out that dozens of countries sent delegations to the forum, and more than 120 foreign companies announced their participation, adding that a number of foreign exhibitions will be held in the courtyards of the “Army-2024” forum.
Putin stressed in his speech that “a lot of Russian technical expertise and unparalleled innovative solutions in the field of weapons have proven their effectiveness on the battlefield,” and that “their basic characteristics are constantly being improved taking into account the combat experience gained during the special military operation.”
The President noted that the Russian defense-industrial complex receives significant support from small businesses, civil society organizations, volunteers and ordinary citizens, noting that “the priority areas of this joint work are elements of modern equipment, means of communication, protection, electronic warfare, unmanned systems and artificial intelligence technologies.”
The Army-2024 Forum will be held at the Patriot Conference and Exhibition Center from August 12 to 14, with a total area of more than 340,000 square meters.
About 1,500 Russian and foreign companies and institutions will participate in the forum, which will display 28,000 pieces of various types of weapons, military equipment and dual-use equipment.
