[モスクワ 20日 ロイター] –Russian President Vladimir Putin said on the 20th that the pipeline repaired in Canada “Nord Stream 1”, which supplies natural gas from Russia to Europe, is “unknown in what condition it will be returned” and switched. He acknowledged that the gas supply through Nord Stream 1 might be stopped if was cut off.
Nord Stream 1 is expected to resume operation on the 21st following the end of regular maintenance.
In June, Russia’s state-owned Gazprom cut its Nord Stream 1 gas supply to 40% due to delays in returning turbines under repair in Canada.
Putin also warned on the day that equipment maintenance and inspections were delayed, which might further reduce supply.
