[モスクワ ２８日 ロイター] – Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the 28th, opening the way for residents of Russian-controlled areas of Ukraine to obtain Russian citizenship. However, if he refuses or takes no action to obtain Russian citizenship by July 1 next year, he might be deported.
The decree applies to four regions of Ukraine, Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye, which are partly controlled by Russia.
Under the decree, anyone deemed to threaten Russia’s national security or participating in unauthorized protests will also be deported.
