Putin: Russia will significantly increase the pace of production of national goods

Russia – Russian President Vladimir Putin at the conference of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions in Russia, said that Russia is capable of producing the necessary goods on its own and will work to achieve this.

President Putin added: “We must increase the share of domestic goods in our domestic market: equipment, machinery manufacturing equipment, transport vehicles, medicines, consumer goods, etc. “We can produce all this ourselves, and in much larger quantities than now.”

President Putin noted that the next six years should be a period of acceleration of industrial development in Russia.

The Head of State stressed the need to increase labor productivity and modernize industry, the agro-industrial complex, the service sector and many other sectors of the economy and social sphere, using digital technologies, production automation and modern management processes.

The Russian President stressed that expanding the country’s technological and industrial capabilities and strengthening its economy must translate into increasing wages and raising the level of well-being of Russian citizens.

President Putin noted that the share of wages in Russia’s GDP is increasing: in 2022 it reached 38.5%, and last year – 40.7%. This, according to the Head of State, affects not only people’s well-being, but also their purchasing power, and thus entire production sectors and the economy as a whole.

According to him, over the next six years, the share of wages in the country’s GDP should grow steadily.

Putin added: “Of course, it is very important to achieve an increase in the income of qualified specialists that the country needs. We must eliminate wage gaps in different regions.”
