Putin orders to finance territorial defense units in Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions from budget

The Kremlin website published a statement containing the Russian president’s instructions, which read: “The Russian government, in cooperation with the executive bodies of the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions, shall provide funding from the federal budget for the territorial defense units of the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions, based on the number of these units, and shall finance the salaries of the persons included in these units, taking into account the tasks they perform, and the equipment of these units.”

The President also instructed to ensure the transfer from the federal budget to the budgets of the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions to compensate for the damage caused to industrial and agricultural enterprises, including small and medium-sized businesses. This refers to enterprises damaged by shelling by Ukrainian troops and terrorist acts, as well as those affected by the counter-terrorism operation in these regions.

The President also ordered consideration of the issue of salary compensation procedures for employees in companies that suspended their activities.

Following the meeting, Putin also called for considering the additional needs of the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions for special transport, and organizing their supply if necessary.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and the heads of the border districts, Vyacheslav Gladkov, Alexander Bogomaz and Alexei Smirnov, were appointed responsible for resolving all these issues.
