Given President Putin’s Victory Day speech on the 9th, it is expected that the confrontation in Ukraine will continue.
On the same day, US President Biden said that Putin was looking for a solution, saying he had no way out.

Western media raised the possibility that President Putin would declare victory in the Donbas region or declare an all-out war at the Victory Day event in Russia on the 9th.
But Putin did not even mention the word ‘Ukraine’ in his 11-minute speech.
It is interpreted that he did not make any relevant remarks and gave little clue as to how the war would unfold in the future.
The BBC analyzed that the fact that Ukraine was not mentioned should be seen as a foreshadowing of a prolonged war.
President Putin’s promise of additional aid to the families of Russian soldiers who died in his speech is an evaluation that has implications for the long-lasting war.
“The state, provinces, businesses and public institutions will do everything they can to care for and help the bereaved family.”
The New York Times analyzed that, although on the surface the Russian people appear to support the war, there are concerns within the Kremlin that such support may not be strong.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Biden attended a fundraising event on Victory Day and noted the words “exit strategy and solution” for the first time since the Ukraine crisis.
“I’m worried that there’s no way for Putin to get out of the war right now,” Biden said.
He said Putin misjudged that an invasion of Ukraine would divide NATO and Europe.
