The Thai authorities are waiting for the arrival of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit. The head of state will receive an invitation in the near future. This information was shared by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Russia, Sasivat Wongsinsawat.

“In 2003, Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in the APEC summit in Thailand. Now, following 19 years, it’s time to spend it once more [в Таиланде]. We are looking forward to President Putin coming back to the summit,” he said in an interview with a RIA Novosti correspondent.

This year, Russia and Thailand are celebrating the 125th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the states. The arrival of the Russian leader may become a memorable event, reports RT.
