The president expressed his attitude towards the EU countries in the same allegorical way. “If a country or a group of countries,” he said, “is not able to make independent decisions, it is already, to a certain extent, a colony. Unlike Europe, Russia is focused on the future, and its sovereignty, according to the GDP, consists of several components. This is military-political sovereignty, that is, the ability to make independent decisions and ensure one’s own security. “Russia has always been at the forefront of events. There were times when we had to retreat, but only in order to gather strength and move forward, ”he stressed. In addition, the country needs economic, technological and social sovereignty.
