NOVEL Cinta Tak Pernah Tepat Waktu by Puthut EA is adapted into a film of the same title. Produced by Dapur Films, in collaboration with K Studio and Seven Skies Motion, the film will be directed by Hanung Bramantyo.
Love Never Punctually will star Refal Hady, Amirah Filzah, Carissa Perusset, Nadya Arina, Meriam Bellina, and Slamet Rahardjo. The film tells the story of a writer who is always chased by time.
“So this film follows the story of a young writer named Daku (Refal Hady). He is afraid to write his own novel. Always stuck writing ordered stories. To start his own debut novel he feels afraid. That is also what Daku feels in love,” said director Hanung Bramantyo in a press release received by Media Indonesia, Friday, (2/8/2024).
The film has also released its official poster yesterday, Thursday, (1/8/2024). In the poster, there is Refal Hady’s face designed like a torn paper and in the middle of his face are several women’s faces. While a clock is the background of the poster. This film is also Refal Hady’s first collaboration with Hanung.
“First time working with Mr. Hanung. It was amazing because I got the chance to play the main character in this title. And also had difficulties of course,” said Refal Hady.
“It’s like being slapped. More or less similar between me and Daku’s character. The difference is that Refal, every time there’s a failure, immediately reflects on himself. What I mean is that the love lessons that have been passed become learning. Well, Daku is a bit late. He feels that if his principles are not disturbed, then he feels that he is not disturbed. He believes that love has its time,” added Refal.
The film’s release date has not been announced yet, but it is scheduled for October 2024. In this film, singer Fabio Asher collaborates with a singer from Malaysia, Aina Abdul, who will perform the film’s original soundtrack.
