Pushpa | Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa’ named Film of the Year at Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival

Hyderabad: Allu Arjun starrer ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ directed by Sukumar won the award. ‘Pushpa’ wins dream at Dada Saheb Phalke International Film Festival

Pushpa won the ‘Film of the Year’ award at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2022 on Sunday. This was announced by the official Instagram account of the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival.

Pushpa, which hit theaters on December 17, was the highest grossing film of 2021. The film was released in five languages ​​including Malayalam and Tamil.

Pushpa Theaters also performed well during the clash with ‘Spiderman No Way’ Home, which was a huge hype around the world. Though it was released in a limited number of theaters across North India, ‘Pushpa’ grossed Rs 3.5 crore in a single day.

The first part of the two-part film is titled ‘Pushpa: The Rice’. Allu Arjun arrives as Pushparaja, a blood sandalwood smuggler. Allu Arjun and Fahad Fazil came to Pushpa with unprecedented looks and mannerisms. The film is directed by Sukumar, who made Allu Arjun a superstar in Arya. The film was produced at a cost of Rs 250 crore.

Under the banner of Maithri Movie Makers and Muttamsetti Media, Naveen Yerneni and Y. Pushpa is made by Ravi Shankar. The film is being prepared in two parts. Filming for the second part of the film will begin soon.

Miroslow Cuba Burrows moves the camera for the film. Devi Sri Prasad will compose the music and soundtrack for the film.

Karthik Sreenivas will be editing the film, which will feature Oscar winner Rasool Pookutty as the sound engineer. PRO- Athira Diljith.
