The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety announced that self-test kits can be purchased at regarding 51,400 affiliates nationwide of 7 convenience store chains (Ministop, 7-Eleven, Storyway, E-Mart 24, Seaspace, CU, GS25) designated as the place to sell COVID-19 self-test kits. It was announced on the 16th that sales will be carried out sequentially.
Convenience store chains plan to supply a total of 6.7 million self-test kits by the 18th, however, the sales start date for each franchise nationwide may vary depending on the work of packaging large-capacity products individually and the delivery situation.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety is planning to supply a total of 34 million doses to pharmacies and convenience stores by adding 4 million new domestic approvals to the private supply of 30 million self-test kits originally planned for February.
An official from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said, “We will actively cooperate with convenience store chains so that individuals can supply enough self-test kits for COVID-19 that can be purchased.
