Puppy saved by emergency surgery following swallowing owner’s socks Molly, a 10-month-old puppy, was rescued following surgery. The puppy belongs to Kerrylee Hempenstall from Dublin.

Kerrylee took Molly to the veterinary hospital following suddenly one day she stopped eating and became lethargic for no particular reason. After an expert examination by doctors, Molly’s stomach was found to have an unusual mass. The puppy was immediately operated upon and the object found inside the stomach was removed.

To everyone’s surprise, three socks were found inside Molly’s stomach. Kerilee noticed that her socks were often missing, but she never thought that the thief would be her beloved puppy.

The surgery was performed by Primrose Hill Veterinary Hospital veterinarian Katie Dwan. Katie Dwan noted that this is the first time in their clinic’s history that such a case has occurred following surgery. He said that Molly was admitted to the special care unit two days following the surgery and was released with her owner following receiving medical care. Speaking to the media, Kerrylee informed that Molly is now fully healthy.
