Punjab Govt has introduced online goat market app

Govt Punjab has introduced Bakra Mandi app related to purchase of cattle on Eid-ul-Azha.

According to the report, the sacrificial animals can be bought with a click through the ‘Goat Market’ application introduced by the government.

The app will include cattle photos, age, weight, breed and other valuable details including price, keeping in mind the user will select the cattle according to their status.

The Punjab government has introduced the facility of online purchase of cattle in view of the Corona epidemic and appealed to the citizens to avoid going to the market considering the fragility of time.

It should be remembered that two days ago, the Punjab government issued a notification to extend the restrictions imposed across the province regarding the corona virus for another fifteen days, after which the lockdown will be applied till July 30.

According to the notification, all educational institutions, marriage halls, restaurants and cinema halls across the province will remain closed while social and religious gatherings and any sports activities will not be allowed.

In the notification issued by the Punjab Health Minister, it has been stated that the cattle market will be set up two and a half kilometers away from the city limits, where there will be special arrangements for parking while separate entry and exit routes will be made for the citizens.

The government has mandated the citizens going to the cattle market to take special care of the SOPs, those who have symptoms of Corona should not go to the market while children and elderly people will also be banned from entering the market.
