Provincial caretaker sports minister and former cricketer Wahab Riaz posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote: ‘Great news for our very own champion Arshad Nadeem. He further wrote: ‘We are working hard to transform the sports ecosystem of Punjab. I hope Pakistan will have a pool of talented players for the next two decades.’

He has said in the video message that ‘Arshad Nadeem is the player who made Pakistan famous all over the world. For the first time in the history of athletics championships, we have won a silver medal. Such reward will be given to every player who will raise the flag of Pakistan in the world.
