[월간수소경제 성재경 기자] There is an increasing movement to introduce hydrogen electric trucks into logistics sites. Pulmuone was named following Hyundai Glovis, CJ Korea Express, and Coupang.

Pulmuone announced on the 11th that it has introduced two large 11-ton hydrogen electric trucks to its logistics site for the first time in the food industry to practice ESG (environmental, social, and governance) management.

Pulmuone is using these trucks to transport room temperature products such as dried noodles and seaweed.

The vehicle introduced this time is Hyundai Motor Company’s Xcient hydrogen electric truck, which has a short hydrogen charging time, making it easy for logistics transportation.

Pulmuone estimates that it will be able to reduce greenhouse gases by 163 tons per year by introducing two hydrogen trucks. It was said that this is equivalent to the effect of planting 63,000 30-year-old pine trees in the area of 21 soccer fields.

Pulmuone plans to introduce two additional refrigerated hydrogen trucks capable of transporting refrigerated products next year, and a total of 76 room temperature and refrigerated hydrogen trucks by 2030.

Daeyoung Jeong, managing director of logistics at Pulmuone, said, “We will take the lead in reducing greenhouse gas emissions by expanding the introduction of hydrogen trucks.”
