Thiruvananthapuram: The nation will say goodbye to actor Poojapura Ravi today. Many people paid their respects to the dead body of Ravi, who was brought to Lakshmi Priya’s residence in Poojapura. It will be placed for public viewing at Bharat Bhavan at 10 am today. The cremation will take place at Shantikavadam at 12 noon. His son TR Harikumar reached Poojapura last night from London.
Ministers V. Sivankutty, G.R. Anil, CPM District Secretary V. Joy, DCC President Palot Ravi, CPI District Secretary Mankot Radhakrishnan, BJP District President V.V. Rajesh, former ministers V.M. Sudheeran, V.S. Sivakumar, former MLA Varkala Kahar, producers Suresh Kumar, Ranjith and others visited the house and paid their last respects.
Ravindran Nair, who traveled with the history of Malayalam cinema from the black and white era to colors, passed away at his daughter’s house in Putachivyal, Marayoor, Idukki at around 11:30 on Sunday morning. The dead body was brought to the residence in Poojapura at around 10:30 on Sunday night.
