The company confirmed the leak, but said the images showed parts at a very early stage of development. In other words, the final design of the same front and rear bumper of a Xiaomi car in reality may turn out to be completely different.

It is also known that the production of these parts for the Xiaomi electric car is occupied by BAIC Molding, a joint venture between Hainachuan and Jiangnan Mold & Plastic. The latter is one of the leading suppliers of bumpers and other automotive exterior parts in China. The future Xiaomi electric car itself is already in the active testing phase. Previously on the Web were published photos of his movement in urban conditions and in a camouflage body kit.

It is also known that the car is being tested in winter conditions. According to Chinese resources, the founder and head of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, took direct part in these tests. The photographs from these tests show a Xiaomi vehicle with a roof equipped with a LiDAR system. This suggests that the electric car can get advanced driver assistance features.

It is known that the Xiaomi car, codenamed Modena, will receive a medium-sized fastback body and will be available in two versions. One of the versions will be offered in the price range of 38-42 thousand dollars, the second will receive a price tag of $51 thousand. The start of sales of the Modena model is expected in 2024. According to rumors, the company is also developing another car. It appears under the code name Le Mans and is due to debut in 2025.
