“Public opinion” spoils the departure of Lewandowski

Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has announced his clear rejection of the departure of striker Robert Lewandowski before the expiration of his contract.
Despite the public pressure exerted by the Polish international, Heiner told the German newspaper “Bild am Sonntag” issued today, Sunday, that he does not expect Lewandowski to leave Bayern in the summer of this year. Players, Robert is one of those.
Heiner, 67, added: “For this reason, I expect that he will play with us next season as well.
And Hainer added that he might not help but support the statements of the club’s CEO, Oliver Kahn, in which he expressed his adherence to Lewandowski’s stay in Bayern until the end of his contract at the end of June 2023. And the contract is a contract! And where would we go if any player managed to terminate his contract early, while we as a club have to pay him in full until the last day of his contract? This inequality cannot be this way.
The World Player of the Year award recently announced his desire to leave Bayern, and he said mid-last week: “The sure thing today is that my story with Bayern is over, and I cannot imagine the continuation of the good cooperation following everything that happened in recent months, and it is clear For me, moving is the best solution for both sides.
Hainer said: I am surprised that Robert chose the path of public opinion, and if I were in his place I would not have done this.
At the same time, Hainer said that he is not afraid that the residues from these events will hinder going to next season with Lewandowski and explained that Robert is a complete professional, and he wants to play football.
