The municipality of Guarne, Antioquia, is making 80% progress in the operation and expansion of its public lighting network.

This project covers both the urban and rural areas, benefiting more than 1,300 sectors, including 25 villages, and is expected to be completed before the end of the year.

The Secretary of Infrastructure, Freddy Urán, highlighted the total lighting of the San Antonio Linear Park and the repairs carried out on the San Ignacio and El Porvenir sports plaques.

The public lighting improvement project also increased the perception of security among residents.

The project also includes the recovery of key sections, such as the Ciclovía and entrances to sectors such as Gorgona, Balastrera, Monte Oscuro and La Brizuela.
