Public holidays, school holidays, what plan for 2023?

The new year 2023 has regarding ten public holidays between national and religious holidays, some dates corresponding to Saturdays and Sundays, and therefore not counted. The first paid day off of the year is next Wednesday (January 11 – Anniversary of the presentation of the Independence Manifesto).

In addition, the Ministry of National Education has scheduled a break following every seven weeks of study, taking into account the periods of preparation for the various controls and exams.

Religious holidays

– Eid Al Fitr: Friday 21 and Saturday 22 April 2023.

– Eid Al Adha: Tuesday June 27 and Wednesday June 28, 2023.

– 1st Moharram: Thursday July 20, 2023.

– Eid Al Mawlid (2023): Thursday, September 28, 2023.

National holidays

– Independence Manifesto: January 11, 2023.

– Labor Day: May 1, 2023.

– Throne Day: Sunday July 30, 2023.

– Revolution of the King and the People: Sunday August 20, 2023.

– Youth Day: Monday August 21, 2023.

– Anniversary of the Green March (2023): Monday, November 6, 2023.

– Independence Day (2023): Saturday, November 18, 2023.

School holidays 2022/23

– First half-term holidays: from Sunday October 23 to Sunday October 30, 2022.

– Second half-term holidays: from Sunday December 4 to Sunday December 11, 2022.

– Third mid-term holidays: from Sunday March 12 to Sunday March 19, 2023.

– Fourth half-term holidays: from Sunday April 23 to Sunday May 7, 2023.
