Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Works and Communications successfully completed public consultations within the framework of the construction of the PY15 – Bioceánica route, in the Mariscal Estigarribia – Pozo Hondo – Lot 4 section.
Public consultations are essential to encourage citizen participation and ensure the smooth development of the works. These instances allow for detailed information on the projects and respond to community concerns, establishing a communication channel that contributes to the success of the MOPC initiatives.
The first meeting was held at the Municipal Preceptory of Pozo Hondo, in the department of Boquerón, with the participation of a sector of the community of Mariscal Estigarribia. The second meeting took place that same day at 2:30 p.m., at the San Agustín Church, in the town of Pedro P. Peña.
Citizens attended both meetings to learn about the details of the project and resolve their concerns.
On behalf of the MOPC, the lawyers Guadalupe Rivas Royg, from the Socio-Environmental Management Department; Carolina Centurión, from the Transparency Department and Carolina Agüero, from the Real Estate Department, were present; as well as the municipal mayor of Mariscal Estigarribia, Víctor Díaz and municipal and departmental councilors.
Details of the work
The third section of Route PY15, currently under construction, extends from Mariscal Estigarribia to Pozo Hondo, covering approximately 224 kilometers. Of these, 220 kilometers correspond to the main corridor, while the rest is intended for road improvements in the towns of Mariscal Estigarribia and Pozo Hondo, including access roads, urban crossings and collector roads.
This project is divided into four lots and comprises three phases: the design phase, which includes the maintenance of existing roads; the enabling phase, which focuses on the construction and improvement of road infrastructure; and the maintenance phase, which will ensure the long-term durability and functionality of the road.
