While these tests may or may not yield results worth adding to Deston’s map in the future, the Ascenders and Utility Parachute are here to stay in Deston permanently. They are only available on this map at the moment, but like other parts of PUBG, the team is open to bringing mobility features elsewhere. Curd specifically mentioned the Miramar card as being able to benefit from these features.

“The new movement mechanics won’t be exclusive to Deston until the immediate future,” Curd said. “We are still closely reviewing submitted feedback in-game and will assess whether these movement mechanics will transition to other maps in future updates. I think they allow players to come out of the center, it might be a great way to inject some freshness into Miramar, for example.”

PUBG The new Deston map is now fully available on console and PC platforms.
