PTI Senator Shaukat Tarin resigned from Senate membership

Former Finance Minister and Senator of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Shaukat Tareen Senat has resigned from the membership of the Upper House.

Senator Shaukat Tareen of PTI met Chairman Senate Senate Sadiq Sanjrani in Dubai, during the meeting Senator Shaukat Tareen submitted his resignation to the Chairman Senate which was accepted by Sadiq Sanjrani.

It should be noted that two days ago, Shaukat Tareen had announced his resignation from politics and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI). Talking to media representatives in Islamabad, Shaukat Tareen had said that he would also resign from the Senate seat. are

He said that after consulting his family and friends, he is withdrawing from politics.

He had said that the last two years have been very difficult in terms of finances and health, two or three times Covid happened, that’s why I am leaving both PTI and Senate membership on the advice of family and friends.

The former finance minister had said that I have tried my best to do whatever I can for the country but at the moment health is not permitting.

It should be noted that Shaukat Tareen, who was part of the People’s Party in the past, had announced to join the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf after coming to power in 2018.

Shaukat Tareen, who had also held the responsibilities of Finance Minister in the past, was once again entrusted with this position and was appointed as the Finance Minister in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government.

However, after six months, he was removed from the position of Finance Minister and made Finance Advisor. According to Article 93 of the Constitution, he could only be a Federal Minister for 6 months because any person to be a part of the Cabinet must be a Senator or a Nationalist. Must be a member of the Assembly.
