Bonded warehouse permit obtained by PT Joowon Tech Indonesia (Customs Doc.)

PT Joowon Tech Indonesia officially obtained a bonded warehouse facility permit from the Banten Customs Regional Office on Wednesday (24/6). This permit was given for a warehouse located in the Cikupa industrial area, Tangerang Regency. With this location, PT Joowon Tech Indonesia will be under the supervision of Tangerang Customs, a vertical unit of the Banten Customs Regional Office.

Head of Banten Customs and Excise Office Rahmat Subagio explained that bonded warehouse facilities are special places for storing imported goods that can be accompanied by various additional activities such as packaging, sorting, kitting, packing, adjusting, and cutting within a certain period of time before the goods are redistributed.

“With this bonded warehouse, companies can store imported goods and carry out several processing activities before the goods are released again,” said Rahmat in a statement received on Monday (1/7).

By obtaining a bonded warehouse facility permit, PT Joowon Tech Indonesia will enjoy several benefits, including suspension of import duties, exemption from excise, and exemption from import tax (PDRI) on goods stored in the warehouse.

The ceremonial licensing ceremony began with a presentation of the company’s business processes by representatives of PT Joowon Tech Indonesia. In the presentation, the company explained its company profile, internal control system, business nature, IT inventory and CCTV systems, and tax obligations. After that, a question and answer session was held with Customs officers.

“This licensing process requires an initial presentation by the company. PT Joowon Tech Indonesia has gone through a field inspection and review of the completeness of the requirements by Tangerang Customs. All of this is done to ensure that the provision of these facilities is right on target,” explained Rahmat.
