PRESIDENT of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Nasser Al-Khelaifi, emphasized that Luis Enrique will continue to coach his club, even though he failed to bring Les Parisiens to the Champions League final for the 2023-2024 season.

PSG’s progress in the Champions League had to stop in the semifinals following being defeated by Borussia Dortmund 0-1 in the second leg at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday (8/5). This result made PSG eliminated following losing 0-2 on aggregate.

When asked regarding the coach’s future, Nasser Al-Khelaifi said that his club still had confidence in Luis Enrique.

“Are you serious regarding this question? Honestly, do you know and understand football?” said Nasser as reported by Between.

According to him, PSG is currently building a long-term project and is confident that the club’s future will be bright.

“We are building a long-term project with the youngest squad in Europe, the future will be bright. We will keep going,” he explained.

Even so, the PSG President might not hide his disappointment following his team was eliminated from the Champions League.

“We are very, very disappointed with the result. Of course it’s sad, but I think we deserved a better result tonight,” said Al-Khelaifi.

“The players, the coaches, we gave everything. The fans, honestly, were amazing,” he said. (Z-6)
