Less than a month after being appointed global ambassador for the luxury brand Dior, both for the world of men’s fashion and for the Sauvage Dior perfume, Kylian Mbappé unveiled a new partnership this Thursday. This is the American brand of Oakley glasses.
The PSG striker posted on his Instagram account to 64.5 million subscribers a one-minute clip made for the occasion. “Today I’m starting a new adventure by being a part of #TeamOakley, together on a mission to inspire others to believe in themselves,” he wrote in the commentary. An idea he also wanted to convey with his recent autobiographical comic, in the form of a graphic novel, “My name is Kylian” with which he wishes “to deliver the message that you must always follow and believe in your dreams. No one will believe it for you ”.
Oakley and Dior join the three other major partners of the child of Bondy who has just celebrated his 23 years: Nike, Hublot and EA Sports.
The video of the props tells the false legend “of a boy from the Paris suburbs born with a gift and who would be the chosen one”. “It was not a gift that led him to the top,” says the voice-over. But “his failures before succeeding, studying the greatest before becoming one” and ultimately taking charge of his destiny.
