[풋볼리스트] Reporter Yoo Hyeon-tae = Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) coach Christophe Galtier has started evolving rumors of a feud between Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.

On the 19th (Korean time), Argentina and France faced each other in the final of the ‘2022 Qatar World Cup’ held at the Lusail Stadium in Lusail, Qatar. After 120 minutes of bloody fighting, the score was 3-3, and Argentina laughed in the penalty shootout.

The fate of the two superstars belonging to PSG has also changed. While Messi laughed at winning his third career title over Argentina, Mbappe had to bow his head even following winning the top scorer.

Now, with the league restarting ahead, the controversy arose because of Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez. Martinez printed Mbappe’s face on paper and attached it to a baby doll at the World Cup victory ceremony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Criticism arose that it contained mockery of Mbappe.

When Messi was even caught standing next to goalkeeper Martinez, claims were made that Messi was also responsible. It is said that Messi neglected Martinez’s actions.

However, coach Galtier explained that there would be no problem between Messi and Mbappe. According to the Spanish sports newspaper ‘Marca’, coach Galtier said, “I don’t know what happened in Argentina. It’s not my business. But there was never a time when Messi didn’t respect Mbappe.”

It is explained that it will not be a big problem as Mbappe showed a mature attitude even following winning the runner-up. “They shook hands and Mbappe showed an exemplary attitude even following the painful loss. He congratulated Messi and Scaloni. That’s important,” Galtier said.

Meanwhile, Galtier said, “Messi will be back at the training ground on January 2nd or 3rd.” I’ve decided. I’ll probably have time to recover for regarding two weeks.”
