PS5 Variable Refresh Rate Feature Coming Soon

Sony has announced on its official blog that it will launch a Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) feature on the PlayStation 5 (PS5) within a few months. The VRR function synchronizes the refresh rate of an HDMI 2.1 compatible TV or monitor with the graphics output of the PS5 to reduce frame drop and screen tearing to provide a smoother game screen.

The VRR feature instantly renders multiple PS5 gameplay screens, resulting in sharper graphics and reduced input lag for a smoother gaming experience. Previously released PS5 games may be optimized for VRR through a patch, and future PS5s may include VRR support. It is said that even games that do not officially support VRR can improve the game screen by activating the VRR option. If there is a problem, you can turn off the VRR option.

Expectations are rising as it is a feature that PS5 users have been waiting for for a long time. It may be an opportunity to bring back many games that were put aside because the play screen was not satisfactory.
