In terms of temperature, both models were subjected to an eight-hour stress cycle. The result showed that the new PS5 model was between 62 and 64 degrees, while the “old” version, still current, operated in the range of 60 to 63 degrees.

It is also possible to note that the PS5 Slim will be thinner, which indicates that it should actually have 30% less volume compared to the standard PS5, but it will still have all the rear connections, while the front ones will be two USB-C.
Another interesting detail is the support for the PS5 Slim, which will only allow it to be positioned horizontally, as it is necessary to purchase a “premium” support for US$29.99 (around R$150) to keep the console vertical.
The same user also shared images showing that the disc player needs to be paired with the console before being used. To do this, the PS5 Slim must be connected to the internet and have a linked PSN account.
After registering the disc player, simply restart the console to enable it, but it is not yet possible to know whether it can be used on another console if the user decides to sell it later.

There has been talk about a new version for some time for PlayStation 5, which could be launched in this 3rd quarterand a recent leak revealed the supposed cooling system fan of the PS5 Slim, a model that should be thinner and lighter.
A few days ago, the X/Twitter profile @MTown0411, known for leaks, shared some photos of what the new variant’s cooling system fan would be and even compared it with the cooler of the current model of the console.
The differences between the two fans are minimal in size, once again indicating that the new version of the PlayStation 5 is not much thinner than the current variant. Interestingly, the leaked fan is also now available for purchase on AliExpress.
While the cooler in the photos could be a random fan and not from the PlayStation 5 Slim, fellow leaker @BwE_Dev retweeted the post with the photos, so there’s a good chance it’s actually the cooling fan for the new version of Sony’s console.

This Friday (11), a supposed image of the possible PlayStation 5 Slim was leaked onto the internet. There has been speculation for a long time about the new version of Sony’s console and the expectation is that the variant will be officially presented later this year.
The image, which was first shared on the A9VG forums, as reported on Twitter by Andrew Marmo, shows that the design of the new console will not be very different from the current one, although some of the changes will be immediately noticeable.

This week, new rumors began to indicate that the official announcement of the PS5 Slim is approaching and that the console could hit stores in the third quarter of fiscal 2023. This next console version will bring a new design that will substantially reduce its size and , in turn, will make it lighter.
According to sources from The Leak, this new “slim” version of the PlayStation 5 uses a die-shrink treatment that reduces the size of the console.
