The video posted on Twitter by user BetterWayElectronics shows the PlayStation 5 Slim from all angles. Previously, several rumors mentioned a new version of the console with a different design.
In dimensions, it is notorious that it has a smaller height than the current PlayStation 5. Apparently, there’s a button on the side to remove the disk drive. It is possible that the model in the video is a prototype and the mass production phase will start soon.

This Friday (11), an alleged image of the possible PlayStation 5 Slim was leaked on the internet. There has been speculation for a long time regarding the new version of Sony’s console and the expectation is that the variant will be officially presented later this year.
The image, which was first shared on the A9VG forums as reported on Twitter by Andrew Marmo, shows that the new console’s design won’t be too different from the current one, although some of the changes will be immediately noticeable.

Apparently, the record was taken from a possible presentation video. It is possible to see that the console kept the concept of the standard version of the PS5, but it seems to be a little thinner and more compact, as is the proposal of the Slim line products.

It’s been a long time since we’ve heard rumors regarding the launch of a new version of the PS5, Sony’s latest console. Although we still don’t know if this console will be an improved and more powerful version, like a supposed PS5 Pro, or a leaner version like the PS5 Slim, it is very likely that Sony is actually preparing the launch.

This week, new rumors started to indicate that the official PS5 Slim announcement is approaching and that the console might hit stores in the third quarter of fiscal 2023. This next console version will bring a new design that will substantially reduce its size and , in turn, will make it lighter.
According to sources at The Leak, this new “slim” version of the PlayStation 5 uses a die-shrink treatment that reduces the size of the console. The new console also uses less voltage and will therefore run cooler. Of course, this also means that it will become less heavy, as the size of its components will be reduced.
Additional information from sources also states that Sony is also working on not needing a support when the console is lying down. This change may indicate that current console tabs may be modified or removed. The company’s focus is on reducing the PS5’s size and weight to reduce shipping and production costs.
As always, we can only wait to find out what this new PS5 will look like, if the rumor is true. Will these supposed PS5 Slim also be more powerful?
