A year later, Sony is starting to lighten up its PlayStation models again, with new models already unveiled in the Australian market.

According to the technical specifications displayed, the new model with disk drive, CFI-1200A would weigh 3.9 kg and the digital edition, CFI-1200B, 3.4 kg. We therefore notice that the new model with disc player weighs as much as the digital edition at launch. Outside of these weight changes, we don’t yet have any information to compare these new models to the old ones, indoors. But it is likely that for save those few hundred grams over previous modelsof the components had to be modified or removed.

If we don’t have official information on this yet, we expect these new PS5 models to be deployed everywhere, including in Europe. For now, we will just have to watch the Australian market… As a reminder, the two PS5 models will go from 499.99 to 549.99 and from 399.99 to 449.99 euros.
