We are not going to lie to each other, but the month of July is not the busiest period to supply this good old PS4 as it should. But because there are still some games planned, some of which are interesting, here is our selection for the next few weeks. Good game everyone !

  • DC Krypto Super-Dog: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace
  • Matchpoint – Tennis Championship
  • MADiSON
  • KLONOA Phantasy Reverie Series

F1 22

Like every year, around the same time, Codemasters introduces the new version of its iconic Formula One franchise, obviously drawn from the official championship. F1 22 therefore offers itself as the revival of a series that is pure and hard simulation, and for good reason: the game will integrate the brand new regulations of the competition and the new single-seaters. In the department of novelties, we can also count on the sprint races tested in reality last year while the Career modes (not scripted this time) and My Team will make their big comeback. The circuits will also be modified to reflect recent changes made in real life and of course, the flagship drivers will be in the cast. : in short, if you like car racing, this is probably the most interesting game of the month.

DC Krypto Super-Dog: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace

PS4: the 8 games to watch in July 2022

A DC Comics game… but for the youngest, and without the traditional superheroes. A daring bet on paper that nevertheless makes sense with this project entirely dedicated to Krypto and Ace, the dogs of Superman and Batman: both of them will discover that Lex Luthor is plotting to remove all the stray animals from Metropolis and will go into battle. to save theirs. A game of action, adventure and platform which will correspond especially to the little ones with however the expertise of its developers, who had already stood out with the very nice video game Paw Patrol. If you have children, why not.

Matchpoint – Tennis Championship

PS4: the 8 games to watch in July 2022

If tennis games have always existed in the Tenth Art and have sometimes been popular, it is difficult to say that the genre has shined in recent years. Much to our dismay, since some titles have proven to be absolutely brilliant in the past: Matchpoint is a newcomer to the game and offers itself as a “modern tennis simulation”, with “authentic” gameplay and an “immersive” experience. Obviously, we will have to wait for the release, scheduled for July 7, to see what it has in store: in any case, it promises a Career mode in which we will make our own future tennis star, a cast of sixteen professional players ( including Nick Kyrgios, Kei Nishikori and Amanda Anisimova), multiplayer… A potential good competitor for Tennis World Tour 2?

MADiSON

PS4: the 8 games to watch in July 2022

MADiSON, it’s been a while since he has to go out but he turns back at the last moment. This was the case last January, then in June: finally, the horror game chose the window of July 8 to impose its quite enticing psychological horror. We will embody a poor unfortunate trapped by Madison, an evil spirit half freed by an occult rite in an anxiety-provoking environment as we like them. A real mix between Layers of Fear and Project Zero – we will use a camera to communicate with the followinglife – which has been arousing our curiosity for months already : still it would have to come out. This time it seems to be the right one.

KLONOA Phantasy Reverie Series

PS4: the 8 games to watch in July 2022

You may have missed it – it must be said that the saga is starting to date a bit – but Klonoa was a very nice platform game franchise. Its resuscitation is scheduled for July 8 and will focus on bringing to the fore two anthology games, namely “Klonoa: Door to Phantomile” and “Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil”released respectively in 1997 and 2001. It is therefore on the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of this first that the compilation “Phantasy Reverie Series” is revealed, extensively remastering both opuses while preserving the distinctive colorful experience of side-scrolling 2D. We will also be entitled to an adjustable level of difficulty – ideal for those who are new to the license or for those who wish to pick up slowly. In short, an outing to watch closely and which might well please the most nostalgic among us.

Yurukill : The Calumniation Games

PS4: the 8 games to watch in July 2022

If you like improbable genre mixes, you’ve come to the right place. Yurukill : The Calumniation Games likes to mix the very epileptic “old-fashioned” shoot them up and the narrative game, with a deep story and a lot of characters in a perfectly Japanese story. The player slips into the shoes of a character wrongly accused of a horrible crime, waking up in Yurukill Land. To regain his freedom, he will then have to survive the countless attractions, a very good opportunity to reconnect with the arcade. It should be noted that the whole thing is written by Homura Kawamoto, known for his manga Kakegurui: a frankly singular experience that we must keep a very close eye on.

Endling : Extinction is forever

PS4: the 8 games to watch in July 2022

Poetic games and a bit of whistleblowing, do you like it? Endling : Extinction is forever might catch your eye. This very atmospheric adventure game tells the story of a mother fox, neither more nor less than the last of her kind. Her goal being to save her three foxes, she will have to move mountains (metaphorically) to protect her species from evil humans, dangerously crossing installations and societies to shelter her descendants. A title that bets a lot on stealth and infiltration, but also a lot on animal and natural beauty for a result that is both moral and charming. An independent game which was notably highlighted during the Summer Game Fest and which might well arrive as a very good surprise. To monitor.

PS4: the 8 games to watch in July 2022

Capcom may have been in great shape for a few years with the return of its flagship franchises, but the Osaka firm is nonetheless attached to its old productions. We can even say that she is an expert in the field, when it comes to making reissues! Here, Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium likes to offer arcade terminals with 3D rendering, with a scanline filter and with everything you need to transcribe the era of the famous gaming rooms of the time. A ton of fully customizable display settings allow for a truly old-school, bespoke look, with plenty of classics to play, of course. In short, it will have its audience and perhaps you will be part of it.
