In English it is a privacy pledge. In French, this gives roughly a “commitment to respect for privacy” or a “promise for confidentiality”. This Wednesday, several technology companies, including two renowned Swiss, have joined forces to make such a commitment. Their goal: to promote respect for users, but also, of course, to achieve a marketing coup and stand out even more from services that do not respect these principles.
