Protests that have lasted for nearly a week in Iran have spread. Demonstrators are protesting the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, arrested by vice police tasked with enforcing a strict dress code for women. Clément Therme, associate researcher at the International Institute of Iranian Studies in Montpellier, was the guest of France 24 to discuss the subject. According to him, the question of the veil is central and raises the question of a change of regime in Iran.
