The persons were arrested from D Chowk.
We were arrested for inflammatory speech. My sister has never said anything like that, Aleema Khan
On the other hand, speaking to the media outside the anti-terrorism court, Alima Khan, the sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, said that we were arrested for provocative speech. The way FIRs are being distributed, our system is rotten, these people have made a joke.
He further said that the founder PTI Imran Khan wants to change this rotten system, there is no case against Bushra Bibi and thousands of workers, when the case is close to death, it is called a deal.

**Interview with Legal Expert, Dr. Sara Ahmed, on the Recent Bail Granted to Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan**
**Interviewer:** Welcome, Dr. Ahmed. Thank you for joining us today to discuss the recent developments regarding Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, the sisters of Imran Khan, who were recently granted bail.
**Dr. Ahmed:** Thank you for having me. It’s a significant topic, and I’m glad to discuss it.
**Interviewer:** Certainly! The Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court recently granted interim bail to Aleema and Uzma Khan following their arrest related to charges of protesting and allegedly attacking police. Can you explain what this type of bail means in the legal context?
**Dr. Ahmed:** Absolutely. Interim bail is a temporary relief granted by the court to allow individuals to avoid jail while legal proceedings are ongoing. In this case, the court has set conditions, including a monetary bond, and has indicated that the bail will extend until specific dates, in their case continuing until November. This means that until the court hears further evidence or arguments, they will not be detained.
**Interviewer:** The amount set for the bond was 5.5 lakh rupees. How is this amount determined, and what does it signify in cases like this?
**Dr. Ahmed:** The bond amount is typically determined by the court based on several factors, including the nature of the charges, the potential risk of flight, and the severity of the alleged offenses. In cases involving high-profile individuals, the court may also consider public interest and the implications of keeping them in custody versus releasing them on bail.
**Interviewer:** The sisters were arrested during what seems to be politically charged circumstances. How does public sentiment and political context influence legal proceedings in such cases?
**Dr. Ahmed:** Political context plays a critical role in legal proceedings, particularly for politically connected individuals. There can be a heightened level of scrutiny and public interest, which may influence how cases are handled in the courts. Judges may be aware of the potential ramifications their decisions may have on public perception and political stability, which can affect courtroom dynamics.
**Interviewer:** The sisters’ bail follows the recent release of Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi. How might these developments affect the political landscape in Pakistan moving forward?
**Dr. Ahmed:** The release of prominent figures like Bushra Bibi, along with the bail granted to Aleema and Uzma Khan, can bolster the narrative of resilience among Imran Khan’s supporters. It could rally public sentiment in favor of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, particularly during ongoing political turmoil. Conversely, these developments can also escalate tensions between opposing political factions, leading to further protests or unrest.
**Interviewer:** Those are interesting points. As this situation develops, what should we keep an eye on moving forward regarding the court’s decisions and the political ramifications?
**Dr. Ahmed:** It will be crucial to monitor the court dates and whether any new evidence arises against the sisters during these hearings. Additionally, public responses and potential rallies in support of or against the Khan family could indicate shifts in public sentiment and may influence further legal and political developments.
**Interviewer:** Thank you, Dr. Ahmed, for your insights. This is certainly a dynamic situation, and we appreciate your expertise.
**Dr. Ahmed:** Thank you for having me. It’s been a pleasure discussing such an important issue.
