Near Montargis, in Pers-en-Gâtinais in Loiret, 200 people gathered to protest once morest the installation of three huge wind turbines.
A human chain of 200 meters, in the middle of the fields. Two hundred meters, like the height of the wind turbines that might be installed at a place called La Merveille in Pers-en-Gâtinais in the Loiret. Most of those present were residents of surrounding communities.
This initiative was supported by three local landscape defense associations: Persée 45, Aire 45 and Vents Libres. Didier Serrat, member of the Persée 45 association, denounces “a disproportionate project, much too close to homes”. For him, “200 meters of wind turbines 600 meters from houses is unacceptable”.
In addition to these associations, several mayors of neighboring municipalities were also present to provide their support. Among them, Claude Madec-Cleï, the mayor of Griselles wonders: “Put yourself in the shoes of the people who live in the area today, what is their house worth? Not much!”
The recent law for the acceleration of renewable energies, brought by the Minister for Energy Transition, Agnès Pannier-Runacher, suggests that several other wind projects might see the light of day in the Loiret. These associations of opponents are already planning other protest actions.
