The Indonesian People’s Alliance to Defend Palestine (ARI-BP) invites all elements of the nation to voice their rejection of the Israeli contingent at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The rejection action is planned to be centered in the Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue Roundregarding area, Central Jakarta, on Sunday morning (21/7).
“We will start at 5.30 WIB. The event location is separate from the Car Free Day area,” said ARI-BP Secretary Oke Setiadi to reporters in the Jatinegara area, East Jakarta, Thursday (18/7).
ARI-BP also invited various religious mass organizations.
“We invite all components of the nation, all mass organizations to attend with us. There are Wahda Islamia, Persis, Muhammadiyah, NU,” said Oke.
He ensured that the action took place peacefully without any violence.
“First, if there are friends from CFD who join, then enter the arena to participate, please do so. Without leaving things that violate norms and laws. Second, if possible, wear sportswear,” continued Oke.
He revealed that later there would also be a drone sound followed by the participants’ prone action. He also asked the participants to be able to follow the series of actions peacefully.
“We will listen to the sound of the drone, yes, and then with the sound of the drone, suddenly we will lie down, feel how the people of Gaza who every day when they hear the sound of the drone must touch the ground,” he said. (Z-11)
