The Puerto Rico Police confirmed this Saturday that they filed a protection order once morest the artist Ricky Martin for a complaint under Law 54, which protects victims of domestic violence.
Details of the complaint and the alleged case of domestic violence are unclear. Because it is a case under Law 54, the Puerto Rico Police does not reveal the name of part of the petitioner.
The artist has not referred to this information so far nor has he spoken on his social networks.
The authorities clarified that the petitioner did not file a complaint, but instead went to court in her own right to request a protection order.
The Uniformed received a copy of the Protection Order, through the new Protection Order Operations and Processing Center (COPOP) of the Puerto Rico Police, and its processing was coordinated by the agents assigned to the Dorado barracks.
The order was issued by Judge Raiza Cajigas Campbell of the Court of First Instance of San Juan, following an ex parte request.
