Protection of the Rosedal stream will transform the urban area and generate safe spaces in Villa Elisa

Asunción, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Works informs that it will put out to tender the construction of protection of the banks of the Rosedal stream in the city of Villa Elisa, department of Central. It is with the objective of reducing the risk of flooding, improving the health of the area and providing safe recreational spaces for the community.

The national call is identified with ID No. 453,768 on the Public Procurement portal, with an estimated amount of G. 24,410,825,715, establishes the delivery of offers for Friday, October 18 at 1:00 p.m., at the Single Entry Desk of the MOPC Central Building.

The initiative is part of the Urban Drainage Master Plan of Paraguay, prepared by the Coordination of Drinking Water, Sanitation and Hydraulic Works Projects (CAPSOH) of the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC)

This project, which covers an extension of 832 meters from the confluence with the Fortín stream to Defensores del Chaco Avenue, seeks to address the environmental problems caused by the high population density and the degradation of the water channel.

The tender is divided into several sections, each with specific interventions that include the protection of banks, the reconstruction of existing bridges, the construction of new bridges for both pedestrian and vehicular traffic, the creation of pedestrian paths and the improvement of public spaces adjacent to the stream. .

More green areas and employment opportunities

The fundamental purpose of the intervention is to reestablish urban green areas and recover the stream at specific points, improving the quality of the environment and the aesthetic value of the landscape. In addition, it aims to generate employment opportunities and provide technical and economically viable solutions that promote social development in its area of ​​influence.
