Perth: A debate is being organized to raise awareness regarding the implications of the Abortion Law Reform Bill, demanding the protection of babies born alive during abortion. Nick Goran MLC, who is leading the discussion, announced that the event will be held on August 28 at the South Perth Community Center in Western Australia from seven to nine in the evening.

The Abortion Law Reform Bill has been introduced in the Parliament of Western Australia to make abortion easier. The debate on the bill is scheduled to begin this week in the Upper House.

For 25 years, pro-life communities have been calling for changes to the state’s abortion laws. As part of this, peaceful rallies are organized in front of the Western Australian Parliament every year in May. Pro-life activists mainly want to protect unborn babies from abortion. Similarly, there is a demand to provide necessary medical care to babies who are born alive during abortion.

Kate Doust MLC, Professor of Law at the University of Adelaide, Dr. Joanna Howe will also speak. Legislator Kate Doust will talk regarding her pro-unborn amendments to the abortion law reform bill. Dr. Joanna Howe will explain the issues with the bill to be implemented in Western Australia and the amendments successfully introduced to South Australia’s abortion laws in 2021.

There are limited seats to participate in the discussion. Organizers, Coalition for the Defense of Human Life, said that you can book tickets and secure your seats.
