The province of Luxembourg is the province most affected in the country by the radon problem: 24 out of 44 municipalities are most affected by this radioactive gas, in the districts of Bastogne, Neufchâteau and Marche.
“Radon is a radioactive gas naturally present in soils and rocks; it accumulates in buildings when the premises are poorly or poorly ventilated. It is odorless, colorless and tasteless“, explains Patricia Deckers, project manager at the Province of Luxembourg.
