About breast milk

– Breast milk can be extracted manually, with a breast pump.

– Refrigerate or freeze breast milk immediately following expressing it.

– It is advisable to use small containers or those equivalent to a baby’s feeding.

– Store in well-sterilized plastic or glass containers.

– Freshly expressed milk can be kept in the refrigerator for 5 days, and frozen for 2 weeks. Unless you have problems with the refrigerator and you have to throw it away when the cold chain is broken.

– To defrost milk, move it from the freezer to the refrigerator, and when it is liquid, heat it to room temperature.

– In any case, thawed milk should not be frozen once more.

Protect your child from tobacco smoke

– If you smoke and plan to breastfeed your baby, stop smoking.

– Don’t let anyone smoke in your house.

– When you are in public with your baby, ask people not to smoke in your presence or in the presence of your child.

Stimulate your baby

It is said that music can bring peace and harmony to a baby’s life, even during pregnancy, when babies are more sensitive to melodies than adults. Pleasant melodies make babies calmer and more serene, making parents enjoy spending time with them.

Music helps children achieve autonomy in their daily activities, as well as taking care of themselves and their environment. A child stimulated by music is able to establish harmonious communication; they are emotionally secure, because they feel understood.

Flatfoot

Flat feet are defined by the absence of the normal arch of the sole of the foot in children. Without this arch, children walk with the entire sole of their foot on the ground, when they should only be supporting the toes, heel and outer edge of their feet.

It is very normal for babies to have flat feet. The accumulation of fat, combined with weak ligaments, means that babies’ feet do not have an arch on their sole. This develops little by little, as the muscles in the baby’s feet become stronger.
