Caracas, Sep 5 (EFE).- Venezuela‘s Attorney General Tarek William Saab on Thursday linked opposition groups Perkins Rocha, Freddy Superlano and Biaggio Pilieri with crimes “similar” to those that the Prosecutor’s Office accuses the anti-Chavez leader Edmundo González Urrutia of, who is the subject of an arrest warrant related to the dissemination of voting records from the July 28 presidential elections.
Speaking to reporters, Saab said that the opposition members, who “are being held at the (Bolivarian National Intelligence Service) Sebin,” are being investigated “particularly” because “they “endorsed,” “verified,” “disseminated” and “revealed as real” the website on which the main opposition coalition, the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD), published the minutes.
He explained that the three anti-Chavez activists have been interviewed by the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP, Attorney General’s Office), which is conducting an investigation against González Urrutia for allegedly having committed “usurpation of functions”, “forgery of public documents”, “instigation to disobedience of laws”, “conspiracy”, among other crimes.
