The Democratic Party plans to handle the amendment to the Prosecutor’s Office Act at the plenary session of the National Assembly convened today at 4 pm.

Unlimited discussions were held once morest the power of the people, but in response to the Democratic Party’s ‘split session’, a vote will be taken immediately at today’s plenary session, a new session.

It is expected that the Democratic Party will immediately propose amendments to the Criminal Procedure Act, and the power of the people will once more conduct unlimited discussions with a delayed strategy.

Previously, a bill to establish a special judicial reform committee to create a serious crime investigation agency also passed the steering committee of the National Assembly.

After the formation of the special committee, it was stated that the law for the establishment of a heavy water agency would be enacted within six months, and the heavy water agency would be launched within one year, and at the same time as the establishment, the prosecution’s direct investigation authority would be abolished.

The establishment of the Heavy Suspension Office, which appeared as a follow-up measure to the separation of the prosecution’s investigative powers, was initially entered into an arbitration plan agreed upon by National Assembly Speaker Park Byeong-seok and the ruling and opposition floor leaders, but was not included in the bill proposed at the plenary session.

The Democratic Party announced that it would pass the draft for the formation of a private special committee at the plenary session of the National Assembly on the 3rd of next month to establish a heavy water agency and complete follow-up measures following the separation of the prosecution’s investigative powers.

On the other hand, the power of the people who overturned the agreement saying that they might not accept the arbitration proposal of the National Assembly Speaker was in the position that the proposal to establish a special committee for the establishment of the Intermediation Agency was null and void.

When the special committee is activated, the Democratic Party is in a position to promote the establishment of a heavy water agency, while the people’s power is expected to prevent a legislative dictatorship.
