Attorney General Tarek William Saab confirmed on the followingnoon of July 11, the extradition from Spain of Isaac Guerrerobrother of Héctor “Niño” Guerrero, leader of the Aragua Train and one of the most wanted criminals in Venezuela.
Gerso Isaac Guerrero had been arrested in Spain last March. Since then, the Venezuelan authorities had requested his extradition to try him for the crimes of aggravated extortion, money laundering, association, illicit trafficking in arms and ammunition, terrorism and financing of terrorism.
Prosecutor Saab said that Gerso Guerrero will arrive in Venezuela this followingnoon, under a strong police deployment that is expected to take him to Caracas.
“His arrival is expected in the followingnoon of today and for this purpose a commission has been formed consisting of the 69th National Prosecutor and the 83rd National Prosecutor, both in matters once morest Organized Crime, 10th from La Guaira in matters of Human Rights, authorities from the CICPC and the Vice Minister of the Interior and Justice.“Saab added.
“El Niño” Guerrero has been on the run since September 2023, when a mega police operation was carried out in the defunct Tocorón prison and he fled through a tunnel system in the penitentiary complex.
