Prorata poll: ND is ahead by a margin in the European elections 2024-04-16 19:26:47

According to the Prorata poll presented on Monday evening, the most important role in the electoral preference of those who moved from June 2023 to today to a party to the right of New Democracy, was played by “the party’s departure from its traditional positions” (60%) , while the developments that most affected voters in this category were: the passage of the law on same-sex couples (51%), the increase in crime (34%), the handling of the Tempe case (31%) and accuracy ( 24%).

The political barometer conducted by the company PRORATA on behalf of ATTICA TV registers a significant strengthening of the parties that move to the right of New Democracy.

At the same time, New Democracy maintains the lead in the European elections of June 9, while Kyriakos Mitsotakis appears to gather indisputably the highest percentage of confidence from the citizens as prime minister. As it turns out, the decrease in the percentage of the ruling party that is observed is largely determined by the “moving away from the traditional positions of the party” but also by the passing of the homosexuality bill.

According to the poll, the intention to vote by recalling the valid ones, i.e. without abstention, gives the following results:

  • SW: 25.5%
  • SYRIZA: 13%
  • PASOK – KINAL: 11%
  • Greek Solution: 8.5%
  • KKE: 8%
  • Freedom of Navigation: 4%
  • New Left: 3.5%
  • Win: 3%
  • DAY 25: 2%
  • Democrats: 1.5%
  • Voice Logic: 1.5%
  • Spartans: 1.5%
  • WORLD: 1%

In relation to PRORATA’s previous research on ATTICA TV (January 2024), ND shows a decline of 4.5 points, SYRIZA an increase of 2.5 points and PASOK a decline of 2 points. The KKE also showed a drop (from 9 to 8%), while the Hellenic Solution recorded a significant increase (8.5 from 5%). There are upward trends for Freedom Sailing (4 from 2.5%) and for the New Left (3.5 from 3%).

In the assessment of the electoral influence of the parties for the European elections, the survey shows the ND moving from 28 to 32%, SYRIZA from 13.5 to 16.5%, PASOK – KINAL from 11.5 to 14.5%, the Hellenic Solution from 9 to 11% and the KKE from 8 to 10%. According to PRORATA’s estimate, 3.5 to 5% is the range of influence of Freedom of Navigation, 3 to 4.5% of the New Left, and 2.5 to 4% of Victory.

According to the survey, the most important role in the electoral preference of those who moved from June 2023 to the present to a party to the right of New Democracy was played by “the departure of the party from its traditional positions” (60%), while the developments that most affected them voters in this category were: the passage of the law on same-sex couples (51%), the increase in crime (34%), the handling of the Tempe case (31%), and accuracy (24%).

In the question “what do voters who place themselves in the center-right intend to vote for”, the dominance of Kyriakos Mitsotakis is indisputable (ND 54%, Hellenic Solution 14%). But the picture changes, when those who place themselves on the Right and the Far Right are asked to answer, where the ND is pressured by the Greek Solution (31 once morest 30%), while 8% appears to be won by Niki, 7% by Voice of Reason and 3% by Spartans. All of the respondents, however, estimate that in the European elections the parties to the right of the ND will register an increase (58%), while only 22% believe that they will remain at the same levels.
